High On The Hog is one of many drawings I created for The Wall Street Journal over a period of 15 years. This particular piece accompanied an article about how Harley-Davidson was dealing with its shrinking customer base.

As the demographic of people who had supported and purchased their motorcycles for years grew older, Harley-Davidson needed to find a way to capture a younger audience of buyers, and fast!

Deadlines were always tight with the large publications, but this idea came quickly which gave me more time to spend on the drawing. Harley-Davidson's stock was in trouble at the time, so pairing the look of Wall Street with elderly riders who clearly shouldn't be on a motorcycle seemed to land in my lap. This image was created on an illustration board with pen, ink, and watercolor.

Giclees are printed on semi-gloss Epson paper and available individually or fully framed behind glass. Giclees are covered for protection and shipped in a protective tube, while frames are packaged and shipped flat.
